About the Friends of Children Health Center ...
At IHA, we help to improve childrens’ medical and dental healthcare in our community. IHA created, staffs and supports the Friends of Children Health Center in La Habra, California. Each year, we provide approximately 20,000 medical and 6,000 dental clinic visits to uninsured and underserved boys and girls from birth to the age 18.

Appointment Hours:
Monday: 8am to 8pm
Tuesday: 8am to 5pm
Wednesday: 8am to 5pm
Thursday: 8am to 8pm
Friday: 8am to 5pm
Saturday: 8am to 4pm
The Center offers the following health and dental services
- Care for ambulatory illness and injury for newborns through 18 years old
- Well baby exams
- Periodic children’s physical exams and sports exams
- Immunizations
- Tb skin testing
- Laboratory exams
- Assistance to sign up for insurance
- Routine dental exams and screening
- Dental cleaning and fluoride
- Dental pit and fissure sealants
- Dental X-rays
- Dental treatments - Procedures such as composite (tooth-color) fillings, stainless steel crowns, extractions, space maintainers, pulpotomy (baby root canal), root canal treatment. dental trauma management, etc.
- NEW! Nitrous Oxide (laughing gas) as a supplement to help anxious and behaviorally challenged children
- Medical and dental nutritional counseling
- Medical and dental illness and injury prevention programs
- Parent medical and dental outreach programs
- Referral to a wide variety of state, local and private social service organizations
