S. Eric Anderson, PhD, MBA, has presented dozens of research studies for professional conferences, authored books, and written numerous academic as well as professional articles. He was selected to serve on the Academic Medicine and Managed Care Forum and the Academic Medicine and Health Industry Forum, a research initiative committed to engaging leaders across the healthcare community sponsored by the Council on US Health Care. Dr. Anderson has traveled to 147 countries and raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for dozens of global development projects.

Kambiz Arman, MD

Kambiz Arman, MD, is the chairman of the OB/GYN department at Friends of Family Health Center. For 20 years he practiced at Friendly Hills Medical Group in La Habra, California, and was chairman of the department for 10 years. In addition to providing patient care, Dr. Arman gives lectures regarding pertinent public health topics to educate the community.

Melissa Biel, DPA, RN

Melissa Biel, DPA, RN, has over 25 years experience in the nonprofit and healthcare fields. She is a co-founder of Community Benefit Connect, having worked with a variety of nonprofit hospitals to create comprehensive community benefit program reviews, community health needs assessments and planning processes. She is the initiator and convener of a regional community benefit networking group that engages community benefit professionals from hospitals across three counties in Southern California. Melissa received a BS degree in Nursing from California State University, Long Beach, and MS degree in Nursing Administration from California State University, Los Angeles. Her doctorate is in Public Administration from the University of La Verne where her dissertation research focused on community benefit among nonprofit hospitals in California.

George S. Goldstein, PhD

George S. Goldstein, PhD, is Executive Vice President of Molina Healthcare, Inc., an HMO serving California, Washington, Utah, New Mexico, Indiana, Ohio, Texas, and Michigan. Previously, Dr. Goldstein held several senior positions in healthcare in both public and private sectors, in the U.S. and other countries. Dr. Goldstein has published extensively on numerous healthcare topics.

Linda Neuhauser, DrPH

Linda Neuhauser, DrPH, is Clinical Professor of Community Health and Human Development at the University of California, Berkeley School of Public Health. Her research, teaching and practice are focused on translating research findings into improved health interventions, including mass communication. She is especially interested in leveraging participatory approaches to improve the relevance of communication to meet the literacy, linguistic, cultural and other needs of diverse audiences. She is co-principal investigator of the UC Berkeley Health Research for Action Center that works with users to co-design and evaluate multi-media health communication resources that have now reached over 30 million households in the US and overseas. Her center’s staff also works with heath plans and other public and private organizations on strategic planning, trainings, and communication resources to improve health literacy and clear communication. She was a participant in the US Surgeon General’s Workshop on Health Literacy and a member of the US Food and Drug Administration’s Risk Communication Advisory Committee. She was previously a US health officer in West and Central Africa.

Barbara Price

Barbara Price is Vice President for Project Management at Scripps Health in San Diego, California. She has over 20 years of experience in healthcare delivery systems and health plan operations. Ms. Price currently consults with corporate and business unit leadership to provide content expertise and advice on clinical and business process performance change and improvement.

Duane Saikami, PharmD, MBA

Duane Saikami, PharmD, MBA, is a partner in PharMedQuest, a consulting firm that works with pharmaceutical manufacturers, health insurance companies, physician organizations, and healthcare entities to develop managed pharmaceutical care strategies and tactics. Previously, Dr. Saikami was Vice President of Market Capability Development for Merck-Medco Managed Care, now Medco Health Solutions. Dr. Saikami received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Southern California and his Bachelor of Science and Master of Business Administration from California State University Long Beach.
